8-Week Program
What Students Will Learn
Every week combines real hands-on automotive work with a character focus — so boys leave with practical skills and stronger character.
Week 1
Tools & Shop Safety
Learn basic tools, vehicle components, shop safety, and proper tool care.
Week 2
How an Engine Works
Explore the four-stroke engine cycle and learn what an engine needs to run.
Don't guess. Diagnose.
Week 3
Maintenance & Stewardship
Practice basic maintenance, including checking fluids, changing oil, inspecting filters, belts, hoses, and leaks.
Week 4
Brakes
Learn how brake pads, rotors, calipers, and hydraulic systems work together to stop a vehicle safely.
Week 5
Tires, Steering & Suspension
Inspect tires and learn about steering, suspension, wheel bearings, alignment, and safe handling.
Week 6
Automotive Electrical Systems
Explore batteries, alternators, starters, fuses, relays, voltage, and basic multimeter use.
Week 7
Troubleshooting
Use a systematic diagnostic process to identify problems instead of simply replacing parts.
Diagnostic Process: Verify → Inspect → Test → Identify → Repair → Verify
Week 8
Mechanic Challenge
Put new skills to the test through hands-on challenges involving tools, inspections, diagnostics, and safe shop practices.
Students who complete the course receive a Wrench 'n' Wisdom Certificate of Completion.
More Than Auto Mechanics
Wrench 'n' Wisdom helps young men learn to work hard, solve problems, care for what they've been given, tell the truth, learn from mistakes, and finish what they start.
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord."
— Colossians 3:23–24
Same Tools. Higher Purpose.
Learn. Work. Serve. Lead.
